Condition

The Condition section illustrates the current condition of the most critical components, offers estimations on their remaining service life, and provides assessments on their safety and reliability risks. You can use the data to plan and schedule preventive maintenance actions, which helps you reduce unplanned downtime and improve safety.

The condition data is based on estimating the remaining theoretical service life of critical components. The estimates are based on calculating the design working period (DWP) percentage of the components. DWP is a percentage that indicates the estimated remaining service life of the component in terms of its designed values. The DWP of a new component is 100%. As the component is used, its DWP starts to trend towards 0%. However, as DWP is a theoretical estimation, it cannot be regarded as a direct measurement of the actual condition of the component.

DWP data is presented with status colors. The logic behind the status colors is as follows.

Table 1. DWP status colors
Status colorExplanationRecommendation

More than 30% of estimated service life leftYou can continue using the hoist normally, but always perform regular inspection and maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer or as required by applicable regulation.

10% to 30% of estimated service life leftInspect the hoist or component. Start planning a general overhaul or replacement of the component.

Less than 10% of estimated service life leftThere is an urgent need for a general overhaul or change of an important component.

The Condition section consists of an overview and details.
